Campaign Goal
dollars raised

Originally constructed in 2002, the Idaho State Centennial Cross-Country Course has been a valuable asset to the men’s and women’s cross country programs, as well as the Pocatello community as a whole, for almost 15 years. Between the many great NCAA, high school and community races which have taken place at the ISU course, it has also provided invaluable natural space and trails as a refuge for the residents and visitors of our community. We love to see the facility add to the amazing natural beauty of the region and provide areas for recreation and exercise.

About this Campaign

The ISU Centennial Cross Country Course, dedicated in 2002 and host of the 2002 Big Sky Cross Country Championships, features both a larger 3-kilometer loop and a shorter 2-kilometer cutoff route. The surface varies from natural clay soil and wood chip cover throughout its length. Many of the maintenance challenges arise from erosion control and overgrowth during the wet spring months and late summer thunderstorms. The clay surface often becomes unusable when wet and easily erodes during heavy rain or snowmelt. Besides the pavilion and recently repaired benches, no permanent facilities exist on site. Improvement in maintenance and physical structures would create a more useful and sustainable area for all users.
